Halloween Games 2009!!!

Hi guys, how’s it going?

Due to the lack of time and available days for our traditional Halloween Spooky Days, we decided to do it online this year. All you have to do is watch the videos posted  here, do the tasks and wait for your special prize on November 3rd, the day for our party  anniversary.

The Penny Dropped!!!

Tradução: “A ficha caiu”. A expressão quer dizer que alguém finalmente percebeu a situação em que se encontra, possivelmente após um longo tempo, dependendo da situação.

A frase vem da Era Victoriana e os populares caça níqueis. A moedinha ficava freqüentemente emperrada na máquina e o usuário tinha que esperar, ou dar um soco na máquina antes da “moeda finalmente cair” e então poderiam começar a jogar.

Note que a palavra “penny” é um centavo de libra esterlina (a moeda britânica em uso até os dias de hoje). No Brasil, acredita-se que “ficha” venha do famoso telefone orelhão.

Outra expressão com “penny” é penny pincher que quer dizer “mão de vaca”, “pão-duro”.
